Most important Tip for Pranayama Mentioned in my below post:
Stay relaxed at all times no matter what…only thing that matter is a mental state of relaxation and completely focus on the stillness of the physical body and it’s relaxation. Many people mistakenly try to perform pranayama in a way that creates mental pressure or stress trying to do it correctly. The more relaxed we are while practicing these breathing awareness practices the better!
Breathing through your nose very slowly simply count to 6 slowly on the inhale…then suspend the breath for 3 long counts without sealing your throat or feeling any pressure…then exhale long and slow for 6 counts…..and suspend after the exhale for 3 counts without any sense of suffocation or stress…. very relaxed very one pointed… very slow counting with that ratio of the breath. It is quite important to not seal the throat or feel the throat constricted in any way during Pranayama.
This equal wave (sama vrtti) pranayama is the simplest, safest and arguably most effective pranayama practice for preparing the mind to become still for meditation smile emoticon hope that helps everyone…key to meditation is to do it every day because it is like a muscle in that it gets stronger with daily practice. You could always incorporate more techniques of Pranayama to master the daily meditation practice.
